- Grace is a woman who clings to her faith in the face of disaster. While the others in the group struggle with alcohol or emotional baggage, Grace’s main challenge is her deep-seated belief that she’s somehow “better” or “more saved” than the others. She attends the meeting to support her husband, Gareth, though she seems somewhat distant, and perhaps even a bit smug, in her conviction that she is destined for heaven. Her interactions with Gareth reveal the cracks in her seemingly perfect faith, as their strained marriage surfaces. She believes she is saved, but her insistence on righteousness ultimately alienates those around her, particularly Ritchie, whom she dismisses as unworthy of grace. In the end, she is forced to confront her own flaws and the fragility of her faith.
