Seeking solace, Melody reached out to his high school friend Jack but received no reply. After discovering his posters vandalized and feeling mocked, he returned home to find Margaret had left. The next day, Melody received a letter from Jack's mother revealing Jack's hidden illness and support for Melody's dreams. At Jack's funeral, Melody sang, rediscovering his passion and confidence. He decided to focus on genuine artistry, apologizing to Margaret and dedicating a final song to Jack's memory.
